This year has been rewarding in a lot of ways. Across both my professions- as a glaucoma surgeon and a storyteller. Both fields I have been striving hard at!
But there is one more field where I seem to thrive without much effort. Procrastination. That is the secret reason for being able to put off something I had planned a long time back- engaging with my readers.
So rolling up my sleeves (as the folks around me roll their eyes), I declare that I am taking up the AtoZ Blogchatter challenge for the month of April, 2024.
What will I do? Write a blog each day, sparing the weekend for, well, procrastination and recuperation. (I am certain, I will end up catching up with the backlog, rushing to meet the extended deadline: old habits die hard.)
To my aid are my special talents: sarcasm, keen and mostly meaningless observation, my (lack of) experience as a harried mother trying to live her life to the fullest and a tendency to run off on a tangent while discussing any topic. Not to forget, breaking into poetry that is absolutely unnecessary and making puns that are utterly unsolicited.
Tentatively, I am calling the series of blogs The Ramblings of a Mum-ble Bee 🐝. Please read me, reprimand me when you see my resolve slacken, regale me with your reviews and reinforce my belief that there are readers out there who still want to talk and not fight, eat and not bite, read and not watch, and relish my literary hotchpotch!
